My Current Skincare Routine

Theses posts are quite popular at the moment, and I do find them quite interesting myself. I'm going to talk through my current skincare routine, with products I'm using at the moment (maybe not all at once though!). So lets get straight into it with my eye make-up remover; The Body Shop's Waterproof Camomile Eye Make-up Remover. I really hate getting water in my eyes so I tend to like to remove my eye makeup before cleansing or washing - and this does a great job. I put a blob on two cotton pads, hold them over my eyes and the make-up simply melts away. Wonderful. In the way of cleansing, I've recently discovered Foaming Lovely and Porefectly clean by Along Came Betty. I interchange these depending on how my skin is feeling, but Foaming lovely leaves me feeling squeaky clean whilst Porefectly Clean leaves my skin feeling so soft and really helps to prevent any dry patches. You can a review on the Foaming Lovely face wash HERE. After cleansing I move onto toning and I use the The Body Shop Nutriganics Toner, which makes me skin feel so firm and also removes any make-up or cleanser that I missed.

In the way of face masks, I use an array and tend not to stick to the same one. I really like the Montagne Juenesse sachets, but for days when my skin needs a little bit more I use Laidbare For Richer For Porer, which sorts out my large pores and oily skin. Its also a little bit of a scrub so helps to remove any dead skin off my face. I'm planning to write a full review on this product soon.

In the way of moisturisers, I have my day and my night. My current day is Johnson's Oil Balancing Facial Cream, which I picked up at a 99p store. I don't really feel like this is doing too much for my skin, and during the day I look for something that's going to keep my oily t-zone at bay. I'll probably use this until I've found a replacement for it, but I'm not overly impressed. However, my night treatment is much better. I'm using Avon's Anew Clinical Line Corrector which I find utterly fantastic. I don't really have lines yet but I'm 22 and I realise they start appearing around the age of 25, so I'm hoping to get in there early with this. It does at the moment improve the surface of my skin and overall just smoothes me out a bit. During the day and night I'm using the matching eye product - Avon Clinical Line Corrector Eye Treatment. I have seriously dark circles under my eyes and I'll use anything to fight it. This eye cream has dramatically changed my dark circles for the better, but I'm feeling my skin may of gotten used to it now, so I'm thinking of changing product once this is used up...

So thats my current routine! If you've written a post on anything similar, do leave your link below. If you know of any wonderous products for dark circles or combo skin, let me know!

  3. How come your Nyx Jambo Lip Pencil from this post (http://lvglmr.blogspot.com/2013/02/lips-of-day-2.html) look beautiful red and here the exact same lip pencil is regular pink (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRSw0Ep3Qns)? I have found many pictures where Chaos is not like yours, but I want your color so badly! I'm gonna buy it online and kinda don't know what to expect. Is is possible you have a different color or maybe you've mistaken? Help!

    1. I'm not quite sure! I have two 724 Choas and they are both the dark red. All I can think is perhaps the colours are different in the US as I bought mine in the UK - but I did buy them from a discount makeup store so maybe the original shade is discontinued. I had a quick look on the nyx website and they seem to be only selling the new pink chaos, so perhaps have a little chat with them and see what they can recommend instead!
